Theosis Higher Institute (THI) is honored to announce the inaugural edition of its Intensive Theological Formation in the United States – THI Special Session USA 2026.
Taking place from August 23-28, 2026, at the beautiful Potomac Park Retreat and Conference Center in Falling Waters, West Virginia, this six-day residential gathering will bring together students, ministers, and believers from across the United States and abroad for an immersive experience of theological learning, spiritual formation, and Christian fellowship.
This Theosis Special Session is designed for those who desire to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith and engage more intentionally with the theological vision of Theosis Higher Institute. Through intensive teaching sessions, meaningful discussions, and shared community life, participants will have the opportunity to grow intellectually, spiritually, and relationally.
More than an academic gathering, this Special Session is an invitation to be deeply formed in the ancient apostolic and patristic vision of the Lordship of Jesus Christ and His saving work in the cosmos. Accommodation and meals
Note: Cost based on a five-night stay and includes meals. The registration fee is separate.
On-site accommodations are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If on-site lodging is no longer available, you are still welcome to participate by securing accommodations at a nearby hotel, Airbnb, or other lodging and attending the sessions as a day guest.

This option is for students that will not be lodging at the retreat center. The Day rate includes all meals for the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with the exception of Sunday 8/23/26.

Officially launched in the year 2014, Theosis Higher Institute is an institute of patristic and apostolic understanding founded by Prof. Shawn Smith. It is a revelatory educational program to restore to the church the apostolic and ancient church patristic vision of the Gospel.
The institute is dedicated to ministers who desire to understand the inheritance of our faith, that is the historic foundation of Christianity in order to recapture the apostolic and ancient church patristic vision of the Gospel.
